 "PRESTIGIOUS: The Fairway Golf Hotel & Spa A SPANISH hotel has been voted the best boutique golf property in the world.

The Fairway Golf Hotel & Spa in the Costa de la Luz on the often-blustery Atlantic coast was the only Spanish property to take a global honour at the World Travel Awards (WTA) in Qatar.

The hotel in Cadiz province, took the title of the World’s Leading Boutique Golf Resort 2011.

It also won two other awards in the individual Spanish category. In winning the world title it saw off stiff competition from nominees in Ireland, South Africa and Thailand. Germans and British make up more than 50 percent of The Fairplay Golf Hotel & Spa clientele.

Guests from the Benelux market and from within Spain also feature strongly. Martin Schneck, an Austrian hotelier, has been general manager since shortly after the property opened in 2006.

“The property has a unique concept. We are in a national park and are an all-inclusive six-star hotel,” he said.“There are not many hotels of this kind in Europe, most all-inclusive are four star and below.”

While the 18th World Travel Awards ceremony included more than 65 classifications for various types of hotels, this was the only award in the world classifications to feature a Spanish property.

However the Spanish Institute of Tourism won the WTA ‘Europe’s Leading Marketing Campaign 2011 award with their campaign Spain, a country to share.

Christmas and New Year’s is just around the corner! If you haven’t booked yet it is about time, to enjoy these festive days at Fairplay Golf Hotel & Spa and experience a marvelous program and gala menus.

On Christmas Owner Mr. Devos and director Mr. Schneck with their families welcome you with a cocktail in our Putting Bar before enjoying some typical Christmas dishes in our Asian restaurant or our very special Christmas Dinner in La Table.

From 13:00h on Christmas day we invite you to enjoy our marvelous Christmas buffet in the Brasserie by the pool.

We invite you on New Year’s Eve to a welcome cocktail in our Lobby accompanied by some canapés before enjoying an extraordinary 5-course Gala Dinner. Meanwhile you have the possibility to leave your children in our Kidsclub. At midnight we will then all together celebrate the beginning of the New Year with Cava, grapes and fireworks. Afterward we would like to celebrate with you in our Boogie Bar, or if you wish to just drink a cocktail our Putting Bar will also be open.

For Early Birds we serve our breakfast in the theatre on New Year’s Day from 8.00h; though if you wish the start the New Year a little slower we prepare a Brunch with an international Buffet from 12.00h. As New Year’s Day is a very special day we open especially for that day our Spa from 10.00h – 12.00h exceptionally for our children under the age of 13 and their families. After enjoying the day we serve dinner from 19.00h in our restaurants.

During our festive days we offer daily special promotions in our Spa, exclusively for hotel guests.

A partir de las 13.00h del día de Navidad le invitamos a  disfrutar  de un buffet navideño en el  “Brasserie” junto a  la piscina exterior.

Por otra parte, en Noche Vieja, le invitamos a un brindis de apertura, en el lobby de nuestro Hotel, acompañado de canapés, antes de disfrutar de  una extraordinaria cena de cinco platos; siempre teniendo la posibilidad de dejar sus niños en nuestro Kidsclub.

A  medianoche celebraremos juntos el comienzo del Año Nuevo, con Cava, uvas y fuegos artificiales. Después  nos gustaría celebrar con ustedes  pudiendo tomar unas copas  tanto en el  Boogie Bar, o si desea un ambiente más tranquilo en el  Putting Bar

Para aquellos que quieran comenzar el año nuevo temprano serviremos desayuno a partir de las 8.00h en el teatro. Sin embargo, para aquellos que  quieran empezar el día más relajadamente preparamos un Brunch con buffet internacional a partir de las 12.00h. Como el día de Año Nuevo es muy especial abriremos excepcionalmente nuestro spa desde  las 10.00h – 12.00h para niños menores de  13 y sus familias. Como colofón a un primer día maravilloso, serviremos la cena a partir de las 19.00h en nuestros restaurantes.
